PS4 From the Ashes: Tim's Fictional Nba 2k19 Roster

ROSTER NAME: TimsFiction2019


After a break from last years disappointment of facial customization, and reading/watching all the new info on the CAP system, I have completed my most detailed Fictional Roster yet.

This roster Includes:

Realism - Players will play the way they do in real life. Speed, agility, tendencies will all be player specific to realism.

Player Archetypes - 3 and D Wings, Slashing Guards, Low Post Bigs, High IQ Vets, Sharpshooters, Low IQ/ Agile Rookies, Team Cancer, etc.

Realistic Contracts - Rookie contracts, Vet minimums, Bad Contracts, Bargain Contracts, Selfish Players that care about money over rings, Vets chasing rings for less money, etc.

Unique Team Identity - Defensive teams, Offensive Powerhouses, High IQ Vet teams that have low agility but high fundamentals, Bad teams, Athletic Teams, etc.

Unique Playbooks, Coaches, Team Styles - Assuming 2k allows coach editor and playbook editing again, each team will have their schemes to maximize their talents. Unless they have a bad coach or poor chemistry.

Unique Face/Bodies - Each player will be made 100% by me. No shortcuts and each player will be unique in appearance.

Fully Customized Sig Skills - Another way to make each player unique is with their sigs. This is also 100% done by me and each player will be different with realism in mind.

Tendencies - My biggest pet peev is tendencies. Each player will have tendencies set to there skill level and play style.

Badges - All players will have specific badges that are only associated with skill level, play style, and potential.


Fan of 90's era Basketball - Not sure yet but I may make my roster set similar to a 90's style interation of the NBA. That means the players will be more physical, bigs are prone to low post and defense still mattered in the league.

New Coaches - Every team has a head and assistant coach created by me. They have there own system, likes, dislikes, team style, etc.

This was going to be a joint project but due to many reasons, I decided to make it on my own. All teams are ready for myLeague and myGM.

Pacers, Pistons, Raptors, Wizards... Clippers, Gizzlies, Jazz, Lakers, Kings, Mavs, Nuggets, Pelicans, Rockets, Spurs, Suns, Thunder, TWolves, Trailblazers, Warriors (All 30 Teams COMPLETE)

I'm thinking of adding Free Agents as Fictional Euro Players, Fictional Chinese League, Fictional Vets, previous years players now older and finding a spot in the league.

A quick look at player sets that I implement in my game.



Player Sets:

Pass first - Looks to always find the open man, high offensive IQ, low shot tendency, pass out of drive tendency, good teammate tendencies

Scorer - Shoot first, Good offense fundamentals, lower defensive skills

Athletic - High vertical, quick, high upside, lower fundamentals, poor shooter

Defender - skilled defender, weak offense fundamentals, poor shooter, poor passer

Physical Post Scoring/Defender - looks to post and iso, strong, good team defender

Slashing/Defender - hybrid athletic defender, poor 3 and midrange, strong inside and layups, above average quickness

Unatheltic Leader/Fundamentals - Good fundamentals and high IQ, floor general or leader badge, low speed and vertical

Unathletic Shooter/Poor Defender - skilled outside shooter, defensive liabilty, low speed/vertical/quickness

Team Cancer - Skilled player but poor attitude and poor team tendencies, very low hustle, takes bad shots, doesn't pass the ball

Average Across the board - Not outstanding in any area, solid backup/role player

Tall PG/ Unathletic - Taller and uses height as advantage, not fast, tendecies are more low post, pick and roll

High Energy Scorer - 6th man PG that hits shots all over the floor. Poor defender and not a pass first but, can come in and score immediately, low fatigue rate

Three and D - Good 3 point shooter on the wing, nice team/help defender

Good Fundamentals/Poor Athlete - High IQ, good passing vision, shot selection, and scoring fundamentals, above average team defender, poor speed/vertical

Point Forward - Pass first forward that can take the ball up court, good offensive fundamentals, average to below average defender

Shot blocking/ Post - Athletic, high vertical, physical low post, poor shooter mid/three

Freak Athlete - Positionless player that is once in a lifetime athlete. High upside but usually struggles with fundamentals

Shooting Big - Good midrange, usually lower vertical, not as physical, higher offensive IQ/ lower defensive IQ

Bully - Physical big, high foul/hard foul rate, poor hands, slow, very strong, high hustle

Passing Big - think Vlade Divac, good low post passer, dimer badge, decent midrange game, typically low speed/vertical

Rebounder/Hussle Guy - high energy, rebounding fundamentals, decent defender, high foul rate, poor hands and poor shooter

90's Low Post - classic low post player, slow, big, low vertical and speed. Has good post game, average shot blocker, doesn't shoot three's




First, I make the player types.
Then, I put the players on a team.
Next, I edit each player independently. That includes attributes, appearance, signature, shows/gear, tendency tweaks.
Finally, I update age, playbooks, years pro, contracts, etc.

Looks like I can import players attributes from Player DNA. That will streamline my roster 1000%
