Florida continues its impressive postseason play with 15 point win over Iowa. PF Leroy Williams-King had 14 points and 8 rebounds; Fr SF Clarence Shaw ended the game as the team’s leading scorer with 26 points. For Iowa, So. Center Jameer Brackins finished with 14 points, 12 rebounds and 3 blocks; Sr. SF Mason Declerq finished with 15 points, and Sr. PF Scottie Troutman had 12 points and 8 rebounds.
(1) Gonzaga 76 – (3) Arizona 71
Corey Appling’s crazy tourney run of scoring comes to an end at the hands of Gonzaga. In the loss Appling scored 35 points and had 5 assists. Appling averaged 36.7 ppg during the tournament, which ranks him 3rd all time (min 3 games). For Gongaga, Sr. PG Aaron Poole had 13 points and 13 assists; and PF Adam Sroka finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds.
(2) Texas Tech 85 – (1) Villanova 80
Texas Tech advances to their first ever Final Four appearance with a win over #1 seeded Villanova. So. SF Keyshaun Fields had another excellent game, he finished with a game high 36 points and 7 rebounds; teammate Fr. PG Jamal Outlaw had 16 points and 6 assists. For Villanova, it was a tough way to go out for Sr. SG Dustin O’Keady who had a good night with 22 points and 4 assists.
(4) Ohio State 76 – (2) Wichita State 75
Ohio State holds on down the stretch to knock off #2 seeded Wichita State as PG Tyrell Blount misses the game winning shot with seconds remaining. Ohio State So. PF Michael Redding finished with 24 points and 9 rebounds (both team highs); and PG Reilly Woods finished with 16 points and 8 assists. For Wichita State, PG Tyrell Blount finished with 21 points and 7 assists. Sr. Center Perry Hardaway had 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Florida knocks off the last #1 seed to advance to the championship game. Fr. SF Clarence Shaw finished with 23 points and PF Leroy Williams-King added 17 points and 11 rebounds in the win. PF Aaron Poole finished with 14 points and 5 assists; PF Adam Sroka had 17 points and 11 rebound in the loss.
(2) Texas Tech 87 – (4) Ohio State 76
Texas Tech is going to their first ever National Championship game after an 11 point win over the Buckeyes. SF Keyshaun Fields finished the game with 24 points and 9 rebounds; Fr. PG Jamal Outlaw got the best of McDonalds All-American teammate and current Buckeye Reilly Woods. Outlaw finished the game with 24 points and 4 assists, while holding Reilly Woods to just 12 points and 6 assists. Ohio State So. PF Michael Redding finished with 19 points and 12 rebounds.
National Championship Game
(2) Texas Tech 81 – (5) Florida 75
Texas Tech wins their first ever National Championship, with a 6 point victory over Florida. So. SF Keshaun Fields was excellent again, and was the game’s leading scorer with 32 points. Fr. PG Jamal Outlaw added 24 points and 7 assists. For Florida, PF Leroy Williams-King had 17 points and 13 rebounds; Fr. SF Clarence Shaw finished with 20 points.
