JB's 2k19 (PS4) Fictional Draft Classes

Hey everyone, I'll be doing fictional draft classes again this year. If you used my draft classes on 2k18 you already know what to expect. If not, here's a brief overview...

I've done research on the last 15 NBA drafts to guage how many elite players, star players, starters, role players, bench players should be in each draft class and will have the draft classes that I do be similar to those. I've also looked at the amount of upper and lower classman that enter the draft each year, along with International players and will incorporate that into the draft classes as well.

Drafts will include gems and busts, I'll incorporate this by using the Peak Start - peak end - and potential.

An example would be, 3 top players in a draft all with Potential's over 95+...they would likely get drafted 1, 2, 3. One may turn out to be a bust and not get close to that 95 overall, maybe stay at their current overall or just progress a few points, or one may become a quality player and reach high 70's - low 80's overall and the third guy might live up to his potential and reach that 95+ overall.

That's just an example of how things could turn out in that type of scenario.

Shout out to Bigc45157 who has helped out with the groundwork for some of the upcoming draft classes.

Awesome! I used all 7 or 8 of your classes last year. I love how realistic and balanced they were. Anthony and Blackshear ignited a great rivalry between The Knicks and Nets, respectively. I'm really looking forward to these.

Re: JB's 2k19 (PS4) Fictional Draft Classes

These classes are they the TRUTH! There’s nothing close to them - real or fictional - in 2K. They add so much depth to a franchise mode.

Kudos for not only making these classes, but spending quality time on them to make them next level.

** I would not play 2K If it wasn’t for these classes. **

Re: JB's 2k19 (PS4) Fictional Draft Classes

November Notes:

Preseason #1 ranked Kansas had a perfect November going 7-0. Junior PG Terrence Braxton is having a breakout year to start off the season and living up to the hype of his pre-season 1st team All-American selection. Through the first 7 games of the year he’s averaging 18.5 ppg and 7.5 apg.

Texas Tech’s on a roll, and potential top pick in this year’s draft, sophomore forward Keshaun Fields is on fire right now, Fields has scored 30+ points in 3 straight games including a 42 point game last night against Memphis. Their top freshman this year, and #9 recruit in the nation, PG Jamal Outlaw was the McDonalds Game MVP and has added another dimension to the team, and there is talk that they could be a title contender this year.

Speaking of potential top picks in the draft and title contenders, SF Randall Hackett, the #1 recruit in this year’s freshman class, and another possible top pick in the NBA draft has started off the season strong, showcasing his skills on both the offensive and defensive ends of the court. Kentucky’s other top freshman (and likely one-and-done players) includes Center Shakur Young and PG Juwan Richardson. Also, returning from season ending injury last season…one of last year’s top prospects Sophomore SF Isaac Anthony…he’s looked good so far through 7 games, posting 15.5ppg and showing no signs or any lingering effects from last year’s injury.

#2 ranked Villanova has National Championship aspirations this year, and they’re led by Senior SG Dustin O’Keady. O’Keady currently (thru November) leads the NCAA in 3pt% along with 3-point shots made. They also have an impressive freshman class that includes PF Jalen Porter (#23 ranked), SG Emmanuel Kittles (#25 ranked), and C Joshua Shipp (#60 ranked).

The #18 ranked Hawkeyes get a big night from their seniors. Sr. PF Scottie Troutman had 22 points and 12 rebounds while fellow Sr., SF Mason Declerq had 26 points and nailed 6 3 pointers in the win over Virginia Tech.

Ohio State Senior PG Garlan Falls has seen his playing time diminish, and a move to the bench could be coming as Freshman (McDonalds All-American) PG Reilly Woods has been playing stellar on both ends of the floor and has established himself as the better player to run the Buckeyes offense.

Unranked Arkansas has been making some noise in non-conference play; they’re 5-2 thru November. Junior PG Ty Attles and Junior SF Lavar Evans have combined for quite the duo, both averaging over 15ppg.

#6 Michigan has a deep team with great senior leadership provided by the floor general PG Bobby Jack, while senior center Nate Tinsley sets the tone on defense, however, all eyes are on the Freshman SG Latrelle Quarus from nearby Pioneer high school. Quarus has already showed his stellar defense and athleticism, in his last game he registered 5 steals and 2 blocks and a few highlight dunks.

#25 UCLA is running a 2-PG system, and so far it’s working out for them. Senior PG Noah Van Exel and Freshman PG Donovan Lockett have made it work. Both PG’s are averaging over 5 assists per game. The key to their offense is the 6’10 Freshman PF Kyle Galloway. The #3 recruit, and McDonalds All-American has been great early on posting 18.5 ppg and 9.5 rpg. The new offense hasn’t been kind to So. SG Jayshaun Parks, last year as a freshman he averaged 13.7 ppg and so far after 7 games this season he’s only averaging 7.5 ppg.
