National Championship Game
(1) Michigan State 74 – (6) Arizona State 66
Michigan State wins the National Championship game—defeating Arizona State 74-66. It was quite the year for PG Javon Shumpert, who last year came off the bench and didn’t see much playing time at all—to being named the NCAA Tournament MVP. Well deserved. He ended the night with 23 points and 6 assists; teammate Terrance Braun had 14 points and 8 rebounds; and senior SF Keon Granger had 15 points.
ASU forward Jason Sanders will likely be the top pick in the upcoming draft, and he almost won ASU a National Championship—he ended the night with 24 points and 4 rebounds.
