Why do custom rosters crash? How can they be fixed?

it all depends on what you did compared to the last good save you had compared to the one that is crashing.

Does it have to do with not having enough free agents in a roster, or copying the same player 8 times to fill up empty nba teams? I added more free agents and deleted all the filler players added to NBA teams that were empty. We’re filling those teams first with college teams and are putting 13-14 players on a team. Any advice would be appreciated since you’re such a fantastic roster maker. Still looking for a good save for this roster.
The above reasons I gave we’re reasons 2k gave me why 2k19 was crashing last year.

I have never seen an issue with the number of free agents. Copying the same player multiple times could be an issue.

My best advise is to "NEVER" delete roster players. Only delete caps or roster lock caps. The best thing to do is make your cap , save him. Then import that cap on top of a NBA player on roster. Instead of deleting full teams, it saves you from bugs , crashes and also remove the nick name usage from cap made players.

example.

1. Make Cole Anothny CAP, save it.
2.Open roster
3. Edit Tray Young, hit import player = Cole Anthony
4.Save player

If you go by this route you should be fine, I always do this and never have had issues.

But every time i hear people delete all players from rosters there is always bugs.

Another time it will crash is if you empty out the all time teams and there are not 8 players minimum on them, the game will crash when you play in play now.

Anyone know how to fix this? I've tried a couple rosters and can't get thru choosing a draft class (auto or download).

I'm on xbone and I really want to try out a 1988 roster from Kobe Bean1341.
