    NBA 2K22 - MyStaff - A better Realism - For Roster creators

    Hey guys,

I wanted to create a thread like "Tendency edits that are game changers for realism?" for others MyNBA features for a while in order to help Roster Creators to improve the realism in MyNBA.

Here I would like to discuss about the new feature MyStaff that should bring a lot of new experiences for MyNBA users ! All of us want the CPU to be better at trading players, signing free agents and building coherent teams.

With the new MyStaff that add trading badges to the staff such as "Recruiter", "Gambler" "Passive", "Grizzled" , "Big 3 or bust" we should be able to improve the way CPU thinks about trades !

This is the goal of this thread : I propose that we all share our experiences and discoveries. Because MyStaff is new and we need to clarify all the possibilities it offers. This is reverse engineering !

I will start with the following examples below :

Is the "Assistant GM" still responsible for trades & contracts ? I don't think so. In the paper nba-2k22-mynba-details-revealed-mystaff-staff-carousel-prep-hub-attributes-badges-more/ in the section "Attributes and badges" there is a mention of "Money Sense would be the prime attribute for a CFO, but it also is relevant for a GM attempting not to get fleeced in a trade deal"
Who in the front-office is responsible for the "team style" ? The GM

Re: NBA 2K22 - MyStaff - A better Realism - For Roster creators

I made some tests on the MyStaff feature with the 2K Roster and I confirm that the "player trade value" is linked to the GM, and therefore, the willingness to get rid of a specific player.

Example : with standard trades sliders (team style importance = 17) Clint Capela has a value of 8.6m$ for the Hawks whereas his real intrinsic value is 16.3m$.

The Hawks GM (Christopher Bell) has the following "Team Style" :
    - Style 1 = shooting three
    - Style 2 = high iq
    - Style 3 = two way

If I delete all and put "Atheltism" in Style1 Clint Capela trade value goes to 13.1m$ no matter the Style 2 and 3.

If I put "Atheltism" in Style2 or 3 with Style1="Shooting 3" his value stays at 8.6m$.

Therefore the player trade value of each team is defined by the GM team style 1.

Conclusion : When creating a roster we have to define each GM team style 1 correctly for each team if we don't want to see weird trades like Hawks trading Capela for a random bench player. Or we turn down the team style importance to 0 in the trades sliders so that every team trades players based on their pure intrinsic value.
