For the love of the jump shot.

Hey guys, I've tried almost everyone's slider at some point, but I can not get the CPU to shoot my jump shots and stop trying to force it's way into the lane.

I've also tried different POE, but nothing has worked.

Thoughts guys?

I put CPU sliders a lot different than most people, but for me it's very realistic. I put their take inside shots at 10, close at 20, mid at 100 and three's at 70. Look for post and shoot from post at 70 and drive lane at only 10.

I'm not saying it's perfect, by any stretch, but I don't suffer from guys not taking jumpers. No matter what you do to rosters and sliders the CPU will always drive and shoot at the rim. It's just the way the game is coded.

Try putting their tendencies at 0 as well

I get a good mix with that since it kind of gravitates to their individual ratings. I think coaching options might affect this also... kinda like it clashes with the tendencies if you will

Cpu is coded to take advantage of your mistakes, get the most efficient shot if possible not necessarily just drive.

Same damn issues, I just put each teams play to 100 and try different POE, they don't work so basically I'm at the CPU mercy. I play HOF so you can only imagine what the things I see lol.

What sliders do you play with 23. I respect your opinion when it comes to hoop games.

I'm working on new ones now since the patch changed the game play a bit.

One that worked for me was turning the tendencies down to 0 for the CPU. All of them. If you bump up the offensive awareness

I don't necessarily rely on Poe only anyway because I play a lot of man defense.

Haven't had a chance to test much because time has been zapped so I get a quarter or a half here or there. Bumping the cup offensive awareness works and they'll kill you if it's too high so play with it.

The strength slider works well also so the higher yours is and the lower the CPUs is the less of a grinding forcefield you'll see and it'll help you on driving as well.


I also really like lowering the vertical which Lowers blocks a bit and gives you contests without an overt amount of blocks.... and using the wingspan edits which don't necessarily improve player abilities in too many areas just the right ones.

Those are some of the things I've looked into so far.

Thanks 23. I played a MyGM game last night with these settings and had a really good game. Set my POE to, conservative D, limit per shots which IMO helps everyone stay on their man. They'll help out on when the offense gets in the lane, but I didn't see any craziness going on. I also have help defense set at 25 too.

This is what Begby had for his and it worked out. Didn't play an entire game, but at one point the cpu had 12 of their 45 points in the paint.
