Got steamrolled by ORL last night. Lost by 20. Fortunately, due to the oddball schedule, I play them again tonight! Rematch time!

9-3 and the stats are looking GREAT baby! My 3PT% is now up to 36% so you can cross one concern off the list.

I'll post complete stats again after a few more games.

That's great.. I didn't get my game in with Golden State, due to the servers being down... I had a *checking internet connection...thing all night. Plan to get it in when I get home.

Re: All-Star Sliders With Stats Using Real Player%/Auto Management

Well game 3 is in the books, and things didn't get any better for this GM's new start. The Warriors were off the hook. Curry went nuts, hitting 7 three's, while dropping 36. We were at their house, and it was tough from the get go. They ended the game with a 56% FG percentage, and 54% from three. Pretty hard to beat anybody when they shoot like that! Good news is...We only allowed 56 points in the paint!..lol. They demolished us on the boards. Sacramento isn't a good rebounding team. I may have to make some moves to try and get better inside. We only shot 32% for the game, but I think momentum, and chemistry effects that during game, and well... We were getting curb stomped. The thing is... Even with me getting the brakes beat off of me, it still felt right. I mean teams have shooting nights, where they can't miss. Especially when they get in the zone, ( Did you catch the Lakers game last night?) I have to keep in mind, that I am playing with the Kings. Which I love. I don't feel I need to change anything with the sliders, as much as I need to make changes to my team, and it's style. We are still trying to figure out where and how to play everybody. I do know that I'm looking for help on the boards. I'm still keeping an eye on things. Next up we have the 0-2 Hawks in our house. So we'll see how it goes. Not touching the sliders.

Re: All-Star Sliders With Stats Using Real Player%/Auto Management

The struggle continues...We led most of the game. Can't get Cousins going. One thing I am noticing is individual FG% seems very low. My highest of my starters is Jason Thompson with at 52%...next is Gay at 42%, everyone else is below 40%. Of course we shoot mid range a lot, and are having trouble getting inside, which will likely improve the more I play, in turn raising percentages. Next up is 1-3 Portland.

Re: All-Star Sliders With Stats Using Real Player%/Auto Management

Well. One thing's for certain. When it comes to video games you are a real man! No one would have known the difference if you had hit the reset button! Especially at half time the game before last! LOL!

I appreciate the box scores.

I plan on looking at them a bit closer in a bit (getting ready for work at the moment), but your 3PT% jump out at me initially on the Human side.

The last few games I've been trying a new technique on 3's. If I only have a brief moment where my shooter is open, I've actually begun releasing the shot button faster than normal. When I'm WIDE open, I've been holding the button a little longer. I know release timing isn't critical with Real Percentages, but it seems to be helping, as my percentages are going up.

How often do you run plays? I have play art set to full and play calling to auto. I don't always follow the play, but when I strictly free style my offense, my shooting becomes terrible.

I also pick and roll a few times per quarter too. Nothing like an easy layup to get your offense going.

Statistically right now, I think free throw percentages may need to come up on both sides. But I'll share my updated stats after a few more games.

I'll also try to share my individual FG numbers.

As for me I got sweet revenge against ORL last night. And beat The Suns too.

Re: All-Star Sliders With Stats Using Real Player%/Auto Management

I took a closer look at the box scores but there really isn't much to go on. Though the second one looks incorrect (you list your team as The Hawks. LOL). But either way, it's hard to tell.

Still wondering how often your run plays though. This game really penalizes contested shots. Even mid range jumpers have a hard time going down with a hand in your face.

I'm not saying every play needs a play called, but movement and space are critical to a successful offense. The players hardly ever move unless a play is initialized or a pick of some sort is ran. Makes shooting very hard.

Yeah... I run plays about 98% of the time. And keep in mind.. The Kings in real life are shooting 33% from three. After 4 games we are at 28%, that is only the difference of 4 missed 3 pointers. So I feel it's just about right. I like them the way they are, but as I said.. I am keeping an eye on percentages.

Re: All-Star Sliders With Stats Using Real Player%/Auto Management

17 games deep.

I have some observations and ideas for the "final" tweaks. But I can't get emotions in the way of the stats.

I'll get through 20 and then do what I did in the first post. Hopefully you can average out yours at the same time (this will help me reinforce my stats with my impressions).

12-5 and loving it. Just a couple points of concern (concern is too strong a word as I'm super surprised how great the stats look. You know what saying).

If the stars align, I'll finish up my 20 games tomorrow night (though realistically it will be the day after).

Looking forward to some more stats from you!
