I have it set to 50. I just lowered the CPU's close shot tendency to 30, since its the least attempted shot in the league. I have Inside at 60, Mid Range at 60 and 3 point at 100. Its a good mixture. The game would probably be less fun if I didn't have to seriously make an effort to protect the paint. I like that seeing James Harden sizing up his defender strikes fear in my heart cause I know he has the potential to break down my entire defense if he gets a step on his guy.

I actually did up a spread sheet last year with every team and their average shot attempts per game from each location (at the rim, close, mid,3pt). Looks like might have to try implement into my roster. cheers

I just played a game against the suns and through the first quarter the cpu only had one three point attempt. the cpu was killing me with back door cuts so in a timeout I changed every players offball defensive assignment to "gap" in order to sag off and stop all the backdoor cuts. what I discovered is the cpu shot way more threes. they finished with 26 attempts which is by far the most ive seen by a lot.

I think you guys are putting too much thought into this. Averages are just that, averages! This doesn't mean that teams are going to shoot that many threes every game or on against your team with your style of defense. Teams take what they get. If you can't protect the paint then don't expect them to shoot outside. All of my games vary. Sometimes teams shoot a lot sometimes they don't but it's not to the point where it's unreal. On the other hand I think it would be unreal for them to hoist shots up just for the sake of trying to mimic the real life nba to a T. This is a videogame and no game is ever going to be EXACTLY 100 percent like real life.

I get what your saying but up until my game last night the most 3 pointers the cpu had shot was 13. Thats in 25 games. I dont give up too many points in the paint either. Wanting realistic numbers is important to alot of gamers. especially on OS. You read the title of the thread so you had to know it was important to the OP and we are all discussing it and possible fixes because its important to us too.. Im not trying to rag on anyone I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion but I just dont understand why people dont just ignore the threads they dont care about.

So, if I play 20 games and teams average 11 3-point attempts, then that means that math is working how it should and we can rest easy knowing that tomorrow math will still function properly. Awesome.

It also means that they take too few 3-point shots... I know this because the math (averages!) tells me so.
