CPU always using the whole Shot Clock

Doe anyone notice that when playing defense against the CPU they always use the whole shot clock before they put a shot up??

They waste at least 20 seconds before they shoot every-time.

Is there a fix for this?

All-Star and Superstar difficulty. Used several slider sets.

That's the way it should be it's way better than run and gun......

BTW the cpu are probably running their plays and looking for the best shot to take...so no no problem for me!

Re: CPU always using the whole Shot Clock

But what is your issue exactly?

Cpu is just doing nothing until the last second?

In my case the CPU is always moving the ball around, looking for a weakness and immediately exploit it...

Might be an issue with your CPU off awareness sliders.. put it at a 100 just to see what happens.

Maybe it's not a problem at all? Look at the amount of shots taken at the end of your games...if it's between 74 (League low) and 87 (League high) Play maybe 3 more games and let us know!

I havent noticed it I must admit. I find the CPU will look for the best shot.

As a reference, roughly 40% of FG is taken in the first 10 seconds and 10% are taken in the last 3 seconds of a shot clock.

Re: CPU always using the whole Shot Clock

CPU sometimes uses plays but often looks for makeble shots just like user should do. If your defense doesn't give them that shot, they look for it until the end of the shot clock and force something up in the last second if you give them nothing.

Actually that's what good teams do in the NBA. You could argue that they should take bad, early shots sometimes and i believe they do. It's about players' tendencies as well. Some guys like to jack it up in NBA 2K just like in real life.
