USER Sliders in CPU vs. CPU Clearly a difference

I have a thread going called "2K16 CPU vs. CPU (Coach Mode Lite)" where we have sliders for CPU vs. CPU.

I had assumed USER sliders were meaningless but I guess not.

We have run a number of CPU vs. CPU games so results were rather known.

YET - when I moved all the USER Sliders to zero THINKING they were not used - I GUESS NOT!

With sliders the same we were getting 85 shots a game and about a 45% FG% and an average score was about 98.

With USER Sliders to zero 80 shots a game with 31% FG% and the average score was 70.

Blows my mind!! Both teams suck. So the question is now - What if I put USER back to OUR default and change CPU sliders!

OK - that experiment lasted 8 minutes - score is 1-0 with not one FG made.

SO CPU sliders are the main while USER sliders DO control something over all. hmmm interesting

Users/Home CPU/Away. It's always been like that far as I remember.

So grinder I guess as we continue to develop cpu vs cpu sliders we need to input user and cpu as the same in order to get accurate results

I also noticed last night as I was testing sliders in cpu vs cpu games I only had them imputed as cpu sliders and user sliders were set on simulation that one team definitely had an advantage

WHAO! Really? What? That confuses me since the 0 USER sliders effected both sides not super drastically and 0 CPU Sliders had a huge effect to both sides

This is exactly why we need the DEVS to answer some questions on sliders - why are they so quiet on something so important to the game.

            rubberband?

If user success chances are high, CPU needs to have a high success chance as well. Otherwise the games wouldn't be decided with me hitting (or not hitting) the buzzer beater.

Have you ever noticed how hard it is to win vs really bad AI teams?
That's because the AI teams get upgraded to your level.

Or how much your teams sucks when playing vs vastly inferior AI teams?
That's because your team get downgraded.

Or how good your team all of a sudden plays vs. vastly superior AI teams? Grats: Your team got upgraded.

Or how much your team sucks when leading start of the 2nd half?
Or, during playoffs, how your players suddenly start missing shots they made all season? Or, during playoffs, how your favourite plays suddenly stop working? Grats: you got downgraded, AI got upgraded some %age points.

            ---

            Let's say your
            "overall shooting success rate" = "player rating" * "slider" * X * Y
The result will be within a certain range.
AI's "overall shooting success rate" will be somewhere close to that value in all cases, no matter what.

            That's my theory at least.

With all that being said, NBA 2K16 added blowout victories. Hooray. Thank you 2K.

Actually know I haven't - I crushed some really bad teams.

How are YOU hitting anything since the the AI is playing and not YOU!

You have WATCHED over 82 games already? Do you have a life?
