Here are some interesting facts I found about foul details NBA League Averages:

Personal Fouls: 19.9 (20)
Offensive Fouls: 1.7 (not a team foul)
Clear Path Fouls: 0.015 (nearly 0)
Defensive 3 Seconds: 0.2 (not counted as team foul)
Shooting Fouls Committed/Drawn: 11.5
(Lost) Loose Ball Fouls: 1.1
Technical Fouls: 0.3
Flagrant Foul Type 1: 0.03 (nearly 0)
Flagrant Foul Type 2: 0.004 (nearly 0)

Rounded out:

So, about 12 of 20 fouls per game are shooting fouls on avg per game. That leaves 8 for the other fouls such as blocking, reach in, etc. (Avg. Per game)

I do know that some non shooting fouls can be considered "shooting fouls"...if a player is attempting to shoot. Again its the "NBA officials" decision/discretion on this.

And this is the main problem
in the game this kind of fouls are one o max 2 per game total
instead we need 8 avg per game PER TEAM

in this game only the shooting fouls are ok, the others not
and there isn't any roster/slider that can fix that

for me not... the only fouls ok are shoting fouls under the basket....
3pt shot s fouls and mid range are broken...

Fotello, I sent you a PM. Penny80, yes we just don't see it consistently. Anyway, thanks guys for everything.

Maybe its time to just simply enjoy the game as is. Or wait for the next edition. I will still be playing...maybe even testing weird things just out of curiosity these days.

I will say one thing, I am seeing a little bit different results than you are on the foul side....I dont understand how, but I am. My fouls are closer to average and not all are shooting fouls. That has me baffled.

Just only few of my past games I kept on One Drive that are reaching NBA average foul amounts. I have more...and then I have some that come up short too. But just wanted to highlight "facts and game stats posted" & not just hear say, that I am truly getting the results often at least. I even have many video clips of non shooting fouls such as reach ins at half court, reach ins at the perimeter, etc. (but it would take too long to post them all).

However, my style of gameplay is more aggression. Controller settings (Defensive Assist With Intense-D: 85) may affect some of this also. Don't know lol...

it seems strange but the CPU beats more free throws with the 2k roster than the Gro23 roster
seeing these photos you have a lot of balance in free throws with the 2k roster

And here are just only a few videos...as I have had many games with many many non-shooting fouls...leading to nba avg number of fouls. Those game stats I posted above had more than 5 per team. Some had almost as much as inside shooting fouls. So, yes I am definitely experiencing something different and don't know why. Here is a small handful of proof, as I have more than this also:
