Re: Barnsey's MyLEAGUE player Progression/Regression sliders (2k19)

Just recently got back into 2k19 and very excited to try these out. I updated a roster, now available to download. I based it off of PSN:jackmove916 or psn:davilesprat rosters. I downloaded a couple and tweaked them, so not quite sure which one I used for the updated. Anyway, VERY excited to try these out. The NBA can't come back soon enough, provided they'll all be safe

Thanks to Barnsey and everyone else for putting these together, testing, etc!

PSN: Crazycarlxu
Roster: updated 6-17-20.

Re: Barnsey's MyLEAGUE player Progression/Regression sliders (2k19)

For the most part, these translated over to 2k20. There were a few attribute changes that you can make your better judgment on. But these are what I used. After looking at a couple of MyNBA vids from the Xbox next gen, it seems like the progression and options are very similar. I will be starting my franchise mode with Barncore settings.

Re: Barnsey's MyLEAGUE player Progression/Regression sliders (2k19)

Hey guys,

I'm playing MyGM on 2k21. First time I'm using this mode.

I can't seem to understand how the progression works.

I set the players to work on different things during the season, set them on very high-intensity work, mentor them. There are a lot of green arrows during the season, but when I switch to a new season pretty much all my players drop in their rating. Even young players following a very productive season.

What am I missing?

I also don't understand how much they need to work on certain things.

Let's assume, using the great sliders of Barnsey, I set a player to work on Free Throw (45) during his growth phase.

Does he need to work on it for one week to show progression? One month? The whole season?

How much do I need to allocate free throws to his workload to see the progression? 5%? 50%? 95?%?

Does his stats from the previous season matter? If so, how much?

Was looking for a MyGM progression FAQ or guide somewhere, and didn't find anything.

Thanks!

Re: Barnsey's MyLEAGUE player Progression/Regression sliders (2k19)

I did a quick sim in 2K22 and Cade Cunningham went up 7 points to an 87 overall. Thats way too much. Cade only averaged 14/5/5. I'm gonna plug these in and see how much difference it makes. These settings are by far the best I have seen in 2K and made 2K18 or 2K19 MyLeague feel realistic.

Re: Barnsey's MyLEAGUE player Progression/Regression sliders (2k19)

Long-time user of these sliders. First time poster

Barnsey, great work sir.

Question/problem:

Progression and Regression work well except for shooting. By year 5, everyone in the league is generally much better at shooting compared to year 1. This is because everyone steadily improves their shooting.

Is there a way to incorporate variability so some players develop their shooting and other's don't? I don't mind Corey Kispert becoming the next Kyle Korver but seeing Sekou Doumbouya hit shots at a good clip is a problem.
