Fastbreaks & catch up D?

This has always been a problem I just wondered if anyone knew of a way to lessen it. I got a turnover and started a fastbreak. Near the 3 point line players had caught up to me and were literally crowding me. What should've been a big dunk became a flimsy layup attempt. I get one player who's really fast catching me but three guys right on top of me isn't right.

This was offline against the CPU.

Yeah, I first thought that sliders had something to do with this. It happens frequently that the CPU center chases me down

This might be hardcoded into the game.
