So if modded rosters were used, this could possibly be fixed once the right ratings are tweaked.

But then something would have to be changed with how draft classes are generated.

It's absolutely a roster issue.

For one thing, 2K is overly generous with ratings and potentials for recent draftees. As we all know, in every draft class many (most?) high picks will end up as role players or busts, but 2K has every one rated as a future star...I mean, Markelle Fultz has an 85 potential!

In fairness, I can see why they do that. Everyone wants their teams' draft picks to be a star. So if they rated Trae Young as a 76 potential, a lot of kids would lose their minds.

Absolutely. I believe that the SimWorld guys are doing custom rosters - I'm planning to use them in my MyLeague. Those guys do great work.

it's so frustrating. I rag on Madden non stop about the high overalls in their roster that make 0 sense with a source like pro football focus. but now 2k is heading same direction...

only difference is 2k gives us options in the game to combat it... and doesn't have a 100% performance based progression system..

makes 0 sense...hey, we still reward a player and make them better because they performed well

when realistically players before better because they already got better...smh
