Yes set your difficulty to Hall of Fame before inputting sliders.

I leave it on for balance because it's always on for the CPU.

Shot timing is user preference. I've actually been playing with it on for shots and layups since like ACE, it's always on for the CPU.

Man the pullups on fastbreaks are super annoying. Lowering close and mid range tendencies while increasing the attack the basket tendency helps, but also changes shot distribution for half-court offense.

Lower Ja Morant's play discipline to see more aggression.
