The AI play was fantastic in this video

You can see right off the bat, You can’t hold LT and stick to the offense, You’re going to have to move your feet.

First, to get a couple quick things out of the way: I figured the college teams would be light on real players and they are (two to three actual players per side). That's okay and understandable; I just hope they're editable for the challenge (they weren't in 2K11).
Second, each college version of a player, aside from Jordan, is the prime NBA version (that's an adult Patrick Ewing out there). I'm fine with that, too.
So having got that out of the way, I'm blown away by the artistic details here. The era-centric outside-the-arena look, the dornas, the floor, the stanchion... they really left no stone unturned. It's amazing.
More observations:
-I see John Thompson on the sideline, great touch.
-Looks like even if they don't have a stock video of an arena in question, they have a retro stock photo of it (there's a still shot of the Hoosier Dome getting the Ken Burns zoom treatment before the USA game). Awesome.
-The authentic warmups on the USA team... right on down to the pinstripe pants. Wow.
-Steve Alford out there for Team USA in '84. Great attention to detail to snag a guy like him.
-Those 80's replay transition wipes
-Nice to see a lot of classic players wearing brand shoes by default. The '86 Celtics are rocking black shoes, often either Cons or basic Nikes.
-Era filters can be toggled off.
-Ewing's rocking a t-shirt just like he did in real life at Georgetown.
-Haven't played 2K in recent years so maybe this was already in, but 1986 Bill Walton looks like '86 Bill Walton (no Portland hippie vibes).Last edited by VDusen04; 09-05-2022, 03:30 PM.Comment

I know some folks are going to complain about the lack of real college players, but we definitely expected that.
That being said, the gameplay looks SO smooth. That robotic movement and look from 22 seems to be all but gone.
I love the old school gameplay of players attacking the rim and not taking many 3s at all. Keep this **** coming!Comment

I hope those guys within the challenge(s) are editable. But it's really nice that 2K came through on 2 small details:
2) the UNC song during the time out
1) Jordan was the lone UNC starter that didn't wear striped socks

Love the work Ewing is doing down low. Going to have to bring the double.

Haven’t even watched the official trailer yet but this is looking good! I REALLY hope we get outside footage for all games!
But BRUH the dude playing as MJ was annoying as ffffff. That was as annoying as watching a real modern nba game. All dude did was shoot threes lmao. It’s like they don’t know there’s a whole arsenal of offensive moves one can utilize in basketball that isn’t just lazy three pointers over and over again.
Ewing and his sigs are looking GOOD. That Ewing fadeaway spin was beauty like the real life version.Comment

This is enough for me to look at my NBA 2K22 case like the cousin who came over to your house to play but after a couple of hours you were done and wanted him to leave.
Even though it would never happen, I'd pay good money for the Olajuwon/Drexler Houston Cougar team that UNC played in the Final Four as DLC. But I'll be more than happy to have what I get on September 9th.Comment
