This is just blatant disrespect and greed and i have never experienced a grind this tiring and useless.
I have been doing quest after quest and i havent got any VC for all the effort they keep expanding on the quest and its going on like this for days !

Whats the use of even playjng this game mode ?
I know they want us to buy VC so they can get more revenue but this has to be the most laughable VC reward for effort i have ever seen !

Been grinding quests for days and didnt even make 10 k ??? A quest for 1500 or 2500 vc takes forever and ever the quest keeps on expanding after you finish the objectives.....im.done !

I wont do another quest i wont play any more mycareer games i will just jump straight to tec center because this is just sickening! Shame.on you 2k !

You take all our farmed VCs from 2k22 and then have us grind this hard for ZERO!

I mean if i spend 5 hours on quests and all.i got is 2 paislr of shoes and a t shirt then you are just conning the consumer who just dropped 80 euros on the game !

And oh yeah !! Did couple of quests or races and didnt get my VC ..thats just thievery!

I’ll grind for badges but I don’t use that mode to accumulate VC. It feels too tedious. Instead I have a myLeague setup and get 800 for each win on 10min quarters. I’ll cash in after a month or so playing

Facts bro thats what im doing, i got kobe era going on and another league with the clippers both on 8 min quarters i refuse to play that scam of a mycareer where they dont pay us vc for all that effort !

Very dissapointed in the story also its probably the baddest story ever.

Yes it's a ridiculous consumer unfriendly grind where they want you to spend more money after buying the game or dedicate your life to 2K grinding. I'm hearing reports that it now costs between 470,000 to 500,000 VC to reach 99. It is 450,000 on 2K22.


They get all the money and yet won't do anything about the delay online. No other game has delay like 2K games. Feels sluggish online versus offline.


Nobody will press them on it I guess because people are going to buy it anyway. Add a few new plays, face scans, and new drip and it's a 10 out of 10 marvelous installment to an ongoing series.

I like the grind and I admit, its hard to earn your VC's, feels like 2k is that you buy the VC

I dont go on other route like myLeague to earn more VC, anyhow Im just satisfied at 85 max overall in MyC. Because in this game, if you're more than 90, your teammates seems to be so stupid and always relying on ur super power. :wink:

Just gotta grind the games man. It's a slow process I enjoy the grind. DO NOT cave in and buy VC. Though there is a difficulty multiplier go up to HOF and you can get 1.6x VC but you're gonna be taking a lot of losses. There's also the daily spin though it's rare but someone got 250K VC on there.

The whole point of the mode is to frustrate you until you give them more money... I've never paid for vc. Ever and haven't even touched my career or my team since the year they had the spike lee story

It's ridiculous that players that play that mode use the same currency to get new shorts and get a better jumpshot lol

I have no issue at all with grinding my career nba games and team practice ..i get the gymrat badge this way and i develop badges so im all for that grind.

The issue i have is with the quests consuming hours and hours and not rewarding you with VC.

I never played myteam or seriously played mycareer
I just play untill im capable to stand my ground in the rec center but these quests should be illegal man.

It was like that last year though and I think in 2K22 it was worse. At least in 2K23 so far just play an NBA game do the objectives and you'll advance quicker. In 2K22 sometimes you were waiting for a post game interview and you'd go a lot of games without getting one or they'd ask a stupid question that had nothing to do with the quest making a quest take forever. I'm not that far into the story in 2K23 though. But that's what I've noticed.

Also has anyone reached free agency yet? I want to know what's the max VC we can get.

The quest mode isn’t for farming VC, mostly “Career points” or whatever they’re called…better off playing MyCareer games where you can get close to 1500 a pop.

In general though, the pricing for getting a player to 99 is not consumer friendly at all. While I’m enjoying the game a lot, That is a major frustration.

2k22 was WAY easier to grind Mycareer for VC. Just by running through the music and fashion quests, you would get about 80k VC. Took me roughly 12 games into the season to get that. Last year I even made "dummy" mycareer players to just grind out that first 12 games and do the quests to put the VC towards my main build.

This year, it's absolutely ridiculous. All these long quests and all these hours of grinding for pennies of VC. I dont know if there was a mistake on 2k's part or what, but it doesnt seem viable now to be able to grind a guy up to rec-worthy skills without paying. Maybe I'll upgrade my player enough to play online in like season 2 or 3? But not being able to even really play this season online without paying for VC is terrible.

You can grind as many games as you can for VC, but the games are closer, so less simming after halftime, and you are locked into doing quests before it allows you to even play your next game, so you cant JUST play games.

I was so pumped for this game. I love the changes to the gameplay. But I feel so defeated and like I need to take a break from the game after putting in so many hours already and realizing the VC just isnt going to happen. The mode I want to play, i cant without spending more than the $75 I already paid for the game itself. Its disheartening.
