WNBA Expansion Help

Hello everyone, looking for a little help with WNBA Expansion. When I add an expansion team in league setup before I start a season, an expansion draft occurs before the season starts, the only problem is that the CPU teams only protect 1 player in the draft. Problem 2, I start a season and before I even play a game I add an expansion team that I assume would be added at the beginning of season 2 but that doesn’t happen. Any help would be appreciated

Not coming here for your answer but for a question of my own:
can you "create/add" another WNBA team without doing that "becoming top 10 in popularity" or whatever was said before the game's release? I'm interested in adding a college team for my daughter to play as but not interested in playing that mode myself and doing that popularity thing.

You can add a team before you start your first season but when you do that expansion draft, the CPU only protects 1 player from each team, leading to an awesome expansion team. I haven’t figured out a way to add an expansion team after you complete your first season.

You create it mid season during year one. Then you can make the rule change during the off-season of year one and the expansion draft will happen. Same as with myNBA.

Second, as far as protecting players, just control all teams for a few minutes and protect more players.
