How are the default draft classes?

Don't have the game yet, waiting on some rosters/content etc first so I can't check myself but I was wondering how accurate the default draft classes are? Not so much the earlier classes for 83/91/02 onwards, I know they'll be missing a lot but more the classes populated by current NBA guys, say 06/07 onwards. Do they still have guys who are out of the league in them, your Michael Beasley's, Anthony Bennett's etc, guys who are no longer in the league but have been in previous games? What are the likenesses like for these guys? Is it going to be necessary to find downloads for these later class's as well because they're missing too many guys? Any of the guys have rookie appearances (beardless Harden for example)? Any glaring omissions/mistakes etc? Just anything anybody has noticed positive or negative really. Cheers 👍
    Yeah.

I just looked at the 2K 2008 class. Mike Beasley isnt there. Outside of the guys still in the league OJ Mayo, Roy Hibbert, Omer Asik, and Brandon Rush are in. So is Boris Diaw (2003 draft) for some reason.

After looking I see the 2K classes have a handful of players I'd never expect to see. Guys like Charlie Villeneuve, Ben Gordon, Devin Harris, Aaron Afflalo, Royal Ivey, Salim Stoudamire, Dorell Wright, Ronnie Brewer, Brandon Jennings, Acie Law (even though 2K has him right handed), Andre Bargnani, Tyler Hansbrough, Eric Maynor, Rodney Stuckey, Shawne Williams and Craig Smith. The classes aren't deep with real players but theres a handful in each class it appears. I gotta get little Nate Robinson in my modern era Hawks MyNBA!

Adding onto this, has anybody noticed if real life coaches start appearing the further you go into eras mode? Say if you start an 02 Kobe era, is Nick Nurse for example going to appear at some point later on?
        Yeah.

No they don't. But you do see retired players becoming coaches. I simmed from 83 to 22 and you see a few "real" coaches because they were players. But you never get the actual coaches join the pool.

You will see players like Jordan, Shaq, and Olajuwan become coaches. Stockton was a head scout for quite a while too. Not real coaches, but it fits into the universe it creates.

On the plus side of this, the game starts in 83 with their randomly 2k created coaches and they eventually fade out and retire.

Re: How are the default draft classes?

I did a 91 MyNBA where I was the Celtics and I broke up their aging big three. I got lucky in the draft and had Shaq, Laettner and Reggie Lewis on the same team. I had a 5 year streak where I won 70+ games a year and the salary cap felt broken. I felt like I had infinite money to sign 80+ overall players.

Something is wrong with player tendencies maybe?

That's a shame but the fact that some retired players still become staff members will pretty much make up for it.
              Yeah.

It is but Jason Kidd and Steve Nash still became coaches as did Larry Bird and Kevin McHale.
