Re: My Era Courts and Jerseys
Ah good to know. I've noticed there's a few incongruencies on that front here or there. I wish I was paying closer attention throughout to piece together a rundown of what's on point and what's a bit early/late.
Off the top of my head:
Detroit Pistons: 2K has them in the Palace in 1983. The Palace didn't open until 1988 (assuming they just didn't have the time to make a Silverdome court).
Los Angeles Clippers: They should switch over to white/red jerseys for 1988-89 with new red court but they do not. Unsure if they ever do (downloaded custom made court and jersey set).
New Jersey Nets: They get stuck with the cursive font jerseys until their 90's makeover when in reality they only wore the cursive font for the '83 and '84 seasons. Should be the "NETS" vertical stripe jersey otherwise.
Milwaukee Bucks: They get their Bradley Center court a couple seasons too early. 2K gives them modern jerseys the right year (1986-87) but the court shouldn't debut until 1988-89.
Sacramento Kings: I stand to be corrected but I think the early 90's powder blue jerseys still have the player name located beneath the jersey number when it should be in the standard position above the number by then. Probably one of the most understandable omissions since I imagine it's easier to just make one single version of that jersey rather than doubling the jersey with only one difference (name location).
That's all that comes to mind in the 80's era at the moment.
