Forgive me for having a question about last year's game.
I haven't played 2k22 (PS5) in about 3/4 months and I went to play it on Sunday and got a message about Userdata being corrupted. I looked online for suggestions on how to handle it and they all seemed to be related to recovering some MyCareer stuff (I don't play that mode, and I don't even know what builds are).
All of my offline files (rosters, MyNBA saves) are still there in the game, but they all say "No Description Found" which is annoying. I can load my saves and rosters and everything appears to be there. 2K's support website says the problem is related to "reserve space" on the PS5 and then says it will explain what that is and does not explain it at all.
Other sites say to redownload your saves from the cloud, which is great advice after you realize you've never saved anything to the cloud ever, and can't go back in time to do so.
I decided to delete the game and reinstall, only to load it up and see this message instead: "Unable to sync your user profile information".
I have two profiles on my PS5 and decided to log into that one with no message appearing at the beginning. All my saves are there with descriptions.
I had something similar happen on PS4 with 2k20 when attempting to play the game mid-patch download, but that worked itself out. There hasn't been a new patch for a year-old game in months so I'm not sure how this started, or when since I haven't played since July.
Why would this happen a year after the game came out? And only one profile that doesn't play anything online? Am I risking anything by playing the game like this? Can I continue to do it?
Anyone have any ideas whatsoever?
