Can't Sign Free Agents to Two Way Contracts?

I don't know if this is new or not but why can I not sign Free Agents not assigned to G-League teams to Two Way Contracts? I was trying to keep my MyNBA Rosters up to date but it won't let me sign DaQuan Jeffries to a Two Way Contract. It just tells me that my roster is full. If I select a player that has a G League Icon it says I can offer them a Two Way Contract but I don't get that option with players that don't have the G League Icon.

Solution. Add Jeffries to the Westchester Knicks.

(My roster moved Free Agents to their respective G-League teams, FWIW)

The reason you can't do it from the FA Pool is:
      A. 2K is bad at programming anything not tied to MTX.
      B. IRL there are restrictions on players that can be offered Two-Ways (less than 4 years pro). Having it be done via the FA pool would likely cause some issues. There will probably be an overhaul to the system in the next CBA, however.

Whatever the case is, they need to do something, because there's no way to add players in a roster without jumping through hoops. You need to waive a player and then re-sign them (which resets the waived player's contract). The whole process takes like 2-3 minutes when it should take 2-3 seconds.

Is there a way to do this in an already started NyNBA? I didn't know I could move G League players.

Not 100% sure for an already started season. Assign to team and scroll all the way down the team list.

No you cannot adjust G-League rosters in an already started MyNBA. That's an issue I have had as well. If a G-League team's roster dips under the minimum necessary players, and you get the dreaded note saying to fix their roster when trying to sim, you're SOL; unless you can go to their parent team and send someone down. If the G League team without enough players is Mexico City just delete your save.

It is a major oversight and potentially MyNBA breaking to not be able to fix/update/add players to G-League rosters in an already started MyNBA

What about using player dna to repopulate g-league?

You can only copy a new created player to an NBA team. No G League teams appear on the list.

Re: Can't Sign Free Agents to Two Way Contracts?

It seemed to be something specific to DaQuan Jefferies DNA that was making me not be able to sign him. I just picked a random rookie on a G League team in FA and Imported Jeffrie's DNA and it still wouldn't let me sign him to a Two Way. So I tried signing the Free Agent First to a Two Way (which it allowed) and replaced his DNA with Jeffries after signing and it worked. He doesn't have his Career stats but at least he's there. Good enough for a Two Way player.

There is a G-League icon next to players in the G-League that doesn't go away when you release them to the FA pool.

Uploading DNA overwrites that icon, which is likely the check for Two-Ways.

Re: Can't Sign Free Agents to Two Way Contracts?

May have found the issue/workaround on this because I tried to sign Louis King to the Sixers but couldn't. It seems to be a service time issue. I edited Louis King to have zero service time and then was able to sign him on a two way. After that I edited him back. So I tried my theory with DaQuan Jeffries and lowered his Years Pro to 0 and sure enough I could offer him a Two Way contract.

I edited his age and time on, signed him, edited them back
