Models look the exact same 🤦*♂️ Another year of stiff jerseys as well smh…this pretty much confirms a Kobe challenge (with 09-10 Lakers) tho. Gotta take the good with the bad

The NBA Finals patch on jersey means something everyone.. that is a little nugget.
If my spidey senses arent deceiving me, it would assume that we ARE indeed in for a Mamba Challenge. That NBA Finals patch is from the 2010 Finals, the one where the Lakers won in 7.
So we could be seeing a series of different challenges we may have to go through.

Doesn't look much different than Kobe in 2k23. I think the graphics for this current gen of consoles are what they are at this point. If current gen comes to PC then I'll be getting it on PC for mods.

Head size have been finally adjusted? If so, it only took 6 years. But still need to see the full player models because in recent titles players' legs were too short. If you looked at upper body it was passable for some players, but then when looking at the lower body as well it looked absolutely ridiculous, can't believe this nonsense has been going on for so long.
2K really messed up player models big time the last few years, hopefully it's finally fixed. Kyrie looks like a 12 y/o boy. To me he's the indication if player models are fixed in 2K24.

They could stop developing it for last gen consoles. It held next gen back

This killed me when I was on console. I literally didn't wanna trade for Rudy Gay -- even though I kinda needed him -- just because I knew I wouldn't be able to stand how disproportionate he looked. On PC it's wildly easy to fix; it's just a numerical value in each model's config file (editable with a text editor). For most models, subtracting 2 from the spine value that controls the balance of upper/lower body fixes it, and it really makes a big difference.

I really miss the Kobe model from 2k14
This one looks like a spitting image from last year if you hid the 2k year you really couldn't tell which one is the new one unfortunately

Ngl, the finals patch alone has me kind of hyped. I'll be happy to get the 2010 Lakers but if this is indication of a Kobe challenge this will be another day 1 buy, and I was planning on holding off until the first sale.

No surprises here with the cover announcement for 2K24. As we can all see, models are exactly the same as well. I’m going to have to wait and see what new modes or functions are going to be in but so far, 2K24 is a hard pass for me this year.
