NBA 2K24: Can't Select Dunk Packages

Does anybody have an issue when creating a player where on the signature dunk section, it shows all the dunk packages for 1,2,3 and so on but when you change it, it only selects between player packages?


I'm trying to choose "side windmills" or "front clutches" or another generic package and I can't change to them.


Bug or something I'm doing?

It’s definitely a bug. Many people including myself have reported this as well so hopefully it’s addressed in the next patch.

I believe free throws are also bugged. Can't get any of the generic free throw shots.

Are you bumping up the Ballhandling rating? Need to do that to unlock certain dribbling animations. Height matters too. For example, Wembanyama's dribble animation require you to be like 6'10" or taller to get them to appear.

I believe free throws are also bugged. Can't get any of the generic free throw shots.

There's a workaround. If you turn off your network connection and go offline, the numbered free throw styles will show up.

To add to this bug. Once you change a dunk package to cycle through them, you can't go back to select 'None'.

Are you bumping up the Ballhandling rating? Need to do that to unlock certain dribbling animations. Height matters too. For example, Wembanyama's dribble animation require you to be like 6'10" or taller to get them to appear.

Disabling all animation requirements offline would really be a great help! It's too much back & forth to unlock animations we should already have access to.

Winspan should also be another option we need to be able to change...

Yeah I've maxed stats, went offline and changed heights. There are plenty of sigs unavailable once you change off of them.

Supposedly the dunk editing is being fixed in the next patch. Not too confident though based on the patch notes description: "Fixed a user-reported issue that prevented certain previously equipped layup and dunk animations from being assigned when editing a player." Hopefully they fixed the fact that you can't assign any dunk packages other than the ones with player names....has nothing to do with "previously equipped ones."

A few off the top of my head are Durant's double cross moves, LeBron's double cross moves, Derozan's aggressive set-up, Giannis's hesitation or escape or maybe both and even his aggressive set-up iirc. There's more but I can't remember them all.

Dunk package editing is finally fixed with the new update today.

If you go to create roster and select your roster, pick a player and look at their dribble styles. Then back out and save the roster. Go to main menu on PS5 and disconnect from the Internet and repick that roster and you'll notice the missing dribble styles, shot styles, and many other sig styles are there.
