I still believe 2k vacation was bit longer this
Year It took them four months to look into court creations bugs like that never been overlooked until this year
2k CPU tight perimeter defense is choking the fun out of 2k24
I would have to go back to 2k23 to make a better answer but I'm leaning towards last year

I think 2k24 is better than 2k23.

The upgrade was much more noticeable in the beginning going straight from playing 2k23 to playing 2k24.

2k24 definitely has its problems, but at a few points it was playing like the best 2k ever for me, I’ve had some really good matches. 2k23 for me never did that.

Imo yes it is, it's definitely more fluid in terms of how the teams play, the offense and defense is responsive.

This game will make you swallow your pride, people find tons and tons things wrong with games today.

The game is not perfect but for me, I'm enjoying it more than I did 23, it's on sale to for Playstation as well.

Not sure on pc or Xbox, but roster downloads are cross platform.

I can't speak for my park, or my team stuff as I don't play that, I just play the Era's Modes.

I don't like 24. Defense is absurd. It's the worst representation of simulation anything I've ever seen in any video game in probably 10 or more years. Player movement in general is a downgrade from 23. It's very sporadic and herky jerky. Lots of sped up animations only to be followed by a normal speed or very slow animation makes movement inconsistent and kinda jarring. Warping and sliding everywhere. It's worse on defense as it allows for a way to contest drives and shots as defense has the right of way this year, apparently, but it's present on offense also.

The new dribbling is pretty awesome and has a lot of potential, but defense shuts down most of it's usefulness. Just watched Melo nearly effortlessly blow by Hauser (Boston vs Charlotte) with a couple of little tween bops and right to the cup. Good luck in 2k24. It's just not an option. 2k24 is the year of defense and WWE-esque physicality. The worst in game defender will be in your hip pocket. Enjoy!

Long rebounds were removed. Nothing like 23. Huge downgrade. I'd also add that rebounding in general is just worse overall as nearly every one lands in the hands of the tallest guy in the paint unless there's an awful badge-triggered animation and someone else gets it.

It's a decent jumpshot simulator. There is a lot of great animations in that regard.

It's a canimation fest and an arcade game thinly veiled as a simulation that doesn't even get basic human locomotion and physics even close to correct.

Might be good if you're into online modes. Seems like it's a mixed bag of cheese, exploits, animation abuse and inconsistent shot timing if what I see/read is true though.

Offline. 24 is superior. Slider adjustments probably are needed for your own accessibility. I feel with tweaks the gameplay is better than 23. Online I can’t speak of. I avoid. Online like the plague. We still detail with the regular issues we did with 23. Lack of cpu timeouts, defensive issues, and foul sliders are still completely broken. But I still think 24 is better on the court.

Yes, but only marginally so.

Whether it is better enough to warrant a purchase is going to come down to preference and financial situation.

I say this as a pure offline Kobe era myNBA guy. Whatever they did last year to remove any competitiveness from the AI also killed my enjoyment of the game. This season just "feels" better. But looking ahead, we are rapidly approaching the end of the 2k honeymoon period. There are a lot of basic legacy bugs that they need to fix and next year if they remain I'm going to start holding it against them

crossplay is good

but imo 2k23 was more balanced. Some of the shots that go in online are ridiculous. And these zigzag bums love the adrenaline boosts being lessened.

I'm shocked they never fixed the the Dog walk bug
These were obvious bugs and they ignored them this year
They added the LeBron era and slapped a newspaper and call it a day
I expect MyNBA next year to come out and swinging again

There’s no way I’ll say a new game that objectively has worse graphics than the game it replaced, is “better.”

ProPlay is not ready for prime time and has its drawbacks. Yet at least there’s good and bad to that.

But most of all, play 2K24 then boot up 2K23 and 23 looks like the newer game. The courts are beautifully lit and glossy, player models look good, lighting is good. 2K24 with its unrealistic dull matte wood, low res looking courts, more cartoony/chalky player models, it’s just wild 2K let that out the gate.

2K23 best of all isn’t being modified anymore, so no stresses of waking up one day and it playing totally differently.

They were knocking off half price from 2K24 what, 2 or something weeks after it was released? Says it all.

2k23. Has an infinitely smoother feel compared to 24. I put hundreds of hours into 23, and I've pretty much abandoned 24 after a couple of weeks.

My personal gripes with defense aside, I don't see how anyone can objectively disagree with you. 23 is so much more smooth and realistic as far as the player movements and overall flow of the game. I find 24 to have taken a few steps back in that regard. I find it very herky jerky and just unpolished. Most likely due to ProPlay.

This here. I just need them to tone the aggressive defense down more which I think was slightly better yesterday.. otherwise the array moves from dribbling/shooting is dope. I get some incredible games with friends/AI. I think proplay will take a good leap next year.

I really enjoyed 2K23 and 2K24 is an expansion of that in a lot of ways..so I’d put 24 ahead by a bit. I definitely think ‘24 is more balanced online.

I understood what ProPlay was supposed to be from the jump so it met expectations for me and in some ways exceeded it…really looking forward to seeing how it evolves.

One clear advantage I feel ‘24 has is AI…a lot more “damn the A.I did that” clips than last year.

2k23 is better and is gonna be viewed in a greater light, years from now.

24 feels like 2k12. It expanded on things from 23 (like 2k12 from 2k11), but simply fell short at being as fun, good, and memorable of an experience. We never glorify 2k12 for a reason. Not that it was a bad game. It just failed as a follow up to a classic.
