2k24 Ps4 chat

Hi everyone,

I recently got 2k24 for ps4 and was wondering if anyone else has been as patient as me and want to chat about their experience

Ratings
Current gen doesn't have the same badges as next gen :/ as such I've been using the real 2k insiders NBA 2k23 to update the nuggets and mucking around with them.

Things of note;
Jokic had limitless range(increased range) , agent 3(off the Dribble 3s) and rise up (standing dunks) as a multiple MVP I don't think this is how he was getting it done. Thanks 2k insider for all your work to make up for these blunders.

Roster I downloaded said it was complete and as such has KCP, DeAndre Jordan and Justin Holiday all on the nuggets So I'm assuming it must be complete at the season end. *Note no wonder they didn't repeat, no depth (Jeff Green, Bruce Brown are gone.

Sliders
Using some sliders found on here. Trying to stick with shot timing but had to boost inside shot,Layups and contact shots to make something in the paint with Jamaal and Jokic

Season mode
I figure to play a season with a team but reduce the games down to 14 and quarters down to 10 mins (thanks FIBA).
Does anyone have any other tips to get games in but keep numbers semi realistic?

Not a lot of us still left on PS4 lol.

I jumped from 2K20 right to 2K24 so I can't speak on anything that happened from the games that happened within that time frame. The biggest thing I noticed with 2K24 is that badges are essential to be able to make an impact in gameplay (since they'll give you specific animations versus the animations you get when the player doesn't have a badge) and that its near-to-impossible to make a contested shot in game.

For Gameplay Sliders, I used EccentricMeats and tinkered with the shot timing to give a little more forgiveness when I have to release the ball quicker when the defender is contesting or I'm trying to beat the buzzer.

For season mode, the top community option is pretty decent, I would just recommend dialing up the possessions and 3PT attempts to reflect scoring. My Regular season in My2K just ended and the highest scorer averaged 29.2 PPG which is on the lower side for today's NBA.

I'll have to have a look at the fictional rosters.

Part of the reason I'm editing my rotational players to see of that helps.

Two ratings I thought were dead, Pick and roll Iq and shot contest, are still in the game and set to 80 for all the Nuggets.

Justin Holiday had the same speed, acceleration as Dean dre Jordan :/.

How do you go about making your fictional roster?

I still use the base roster to begin but I have fictional players in draft classes filter into the universe throughout the seasons.

Essentially, I make every class to have realistic ratings with the appropriate number of stars, busts, and role players. One class might be deep in one position and the next draft will be shallow in the identical as well.

Shot contest is an annoying one because I believe you can't edit in bulk and it makes a considerable difference in game. Also injury attributes are a big one since guys like Ben Simmons will have 80s for everything while it should be more in the 60-range.

I was considering getting 2k24 on PS4 last year but decided not too. I'm going to 2k25 this year as I'm still on 2k22. Just hope PS4 gets updates/roster updates/city jerseys courts etc. I saw someone post on reddit that the PS4/Xbox1 won't get the city jerseys etc. I'm hoping they're wrong.
