Cleveland Cavaliers @ Toronto Raptors





It was a truly back and forth affair with Barnes coming in clutch in the 4th for the Raptors while Mobley was dominating for the Cavs sprinkled with Mitchell hitting timely 3s. Garland was orchestrating the offense setting up Mobley for multiple easy dunks with his 2 man game with Mobley. Lavert was mostly invisible off the bench but surpassingly Jerome filled the void with his aggressiveness driving to the hoop.

The Cavs had a 2point lead with 3seconds left, as the Raptors had the last possession. Gradey Dick got the pass after a timeout and hit a Tissot game winning 3 in Mitchell’s face with no time to spare to propel the Raptors to an Opening Night victory.

Philadelphia 76ers @ Toronto Raptors





Philly came in with a business trip mindset and played bully ball right from the start. They fed Embiid down low often while George was supporting him from the perimeter. Maxey was mostly invisible as he took a backseat but was setting up Embiid most of the night. Kelly Oubre Jr. quietly had a perfect shooting night as my primary focus was trying to contain Embiid all night. I was surprise to see Kelly having no misses when I read the boxscore at the end of the game, that’s how unnoticeable but efficient he was.

Overall, not much of a back and forth as the 76ers played boring but surgical and dominant basketball right from the tip off unlike the Cavs game.
