Is anyone seeing these at all? And if so, which slider affects it? I have all the foul sliders at 100 already.

It was basically patched out of the game. In the first 1 or 2 updates they were very prevalent if you increased jump shot defence strength and/or tweaked some stuff, but now the animation will play out without the foul being called. Often times, the commentators will even say something like "you don't want to foul a jump shooter", but play is just continuing lmao

Yes. They are still there. I play on HOF and both the CPU and I have made crazy shots. Try to increase 'Contest Shots' and 'Shooting Foul Frequency' sliders to the max to see what happens.

How many games did you play to get those closeout fouls? I shouldn't say they're completely gone because I still get some, but they're incredibly infrequent. For every 1 that gets called, there's 20 with the same animation that aren't called. I'm fairly certain whenever 2k revamped the contest system it broke jumpshot fouls. Do you change any sliders or just play base HOF?

I'm playing on base HOF difficulty. But yes, you're right. Most of the times the shooter gets absolutely murdered and fouls are not called.
Tbh, I think it's better this way than how it was before. I didn't like to foul the shooter anytime I pressed triangle/Y to contest the shot.
Imo the issue is there's no animations to jump without fouling. Sane thing for contesting/blocking jumpshots from behind. Hands up defense is not enough if you want to properly contest a shot, especially against superstars.Comment

ive been fouled on 3 point attempts, but not as often as i should considering how many times the cpu jumps out as my shooter to make up for getting beat. Its a cheat tactic by the cpu to stay competitive. it annoys me because we're not rewarded for using good moves causing separation.Comment

They happened a lot more early on. Haven’t seen as many lately. Your best bet is when someone comes off a screen and the defender tries to rush back to block the shot. Either that of a pump fake, but even that doesn’t work as well since you can’t lunge forward into the airborne defender.Comment

I haven't been playing much but in my 91 Bulls dynasty game last night I had two fouls committed by the CPU on Scottie Pippen jumpshots.
Lime mentioned above I was coming off a screen on both occasions when it happened.Comment
