NBA 2K14 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread

has anyone noticed that post patch the dynamic goal notification will say something like 'hold the lead after the 3rd' or 'mount the comeback' when it's in the 1st quarter? i'm not talking about a coaching notification, but the progress notification that shows up in the upper right.

people want to say the game isn't scripted but that crap sure makes it feel that way.

Got traded from Nola to Detroit after I complained about Jrue Holliday cuz he was being a jerk.. I wanted it to be to the Clippers but no..
So the trade happened right before the All Star break where I put up 30 Pts, 19 Ast, and 14 Rebounds in the Rising Stars game then led the West (still played for West) to the win with 28 points, 13 Assists and 7 rebounds..
I guess I fit in with Detroit, being a SG.. But I was #4 in Nola and now I'm #8.. I rather pick my new number, like #2, #3 or #14

ok, so i had 2k for two days, my first my player had a nice size vc which allowed me to buy some stats after the draft. i got frustrated being on philly so i started a new one, i thought i would get some vc to spend on some skills...nope now im on pheonix we lost 14 in a row and im only earning 60 at a time cause of my mins, any help trying to get more im a 3pt specialist pg and still stuck at 63 ovr

i've gotten the hawks a few times, to add to this. kinda stinks.

at least right now i'm a PG on the hawks so it's not like i'm forcing horford out or something.

i had noticed that the arena sounds don't seem to work right. i'd assume it's bugged like most things in 2k14.

i'm also having a really annoying time trying to understand why they broke free throws. ever since the 2nd patch i've been unable to hit free throws perfectly, regardless of rating. every free throw is slight early with a b- grade. only if i hold it beyond the point of release will it show it as late. wth.

ive tried ray allen's, nash, anthony and a few others, it's all the same.

Ok I passed like 2 months in My Career with the Bobcats. Kemba is injured for weeks, Sessions and Pargo were traded for Ed Davis and Koufos, which leaves me as the only PG who is not injured. I have broken the franchise record for points, average 28.7 ppg and I'm still only 6th man even though Coach promised me more minutes several times now, I always stay at 28 minutes and he lets Ben Gordon start at PG.

This is so ridiculous, I don't even want to continue, everything Coach says or promises is not happening. Is it even possible to become a starter in MyCareer??? I feel like the whole story is stuck since I decided to celebrate with the teammates and got punished by Coach and the GM.

You get to start, I think around the all star break. The person you're replacing will talk to you about it in the locker room.. Saying he's happy you stepped it up and whatnot.

And it's scripted, regardless how good you do or how many people with your position get injured.. The game wants you to experience a crappy rookie year.

My problem is that I have to unrealistically average 40 per game in order to win.. Some games I drop in the 60s. Up to the point Doris Burke chimes in saying "last game, he scored 62 points, as he usually does.." Lol wtf? The commentating gets so repetitive

My guys free throw is 91, I added the training boost which made it 99.. My guy was still shooting slightly early, A-, and to the side.. Like way off. I swear, instead of an actual momentum in the game, I think the hot team gets a +25 on all attributes, and the cold team gets -25. I play on the pistons, and when the other team has a run, they will NOT dunk the ball, give rebounds away when they've already grabbed them, and basically suck. I've had open lanes while cold and my guy decides to lay it up, and miss. Meanwhile my dunking is in the 80s. Same with my teammates put backs. They literally soar over the rim, both hands on the ball, with the ability to just slam it without landing. What do they do? They soar above the rim, land on the floor, and try to do a reverse layup toward the side where there's defense, they get blocked, and the other tram has a fast break. Where if my team gets a block, the person who gets block immediately gets it back, and scores. This game is broken. From lebron missing his headband to all the nonsense that goes on in MyCareer
