I simulated a season as the Suns and the Celtics made six different trades over the course of the season. I'm pretty sure they even traded for Brandon Bass after trading him away.

I was just watching a stream of MyGM where Mo Williams was traded for Tobias Harris and Taj Gibson was traded for Landry Fields.

Plus a multitude of other terrible trades.

I can give 2k a pass as they have built a very good foundation for the next generation of 2k basketball, but this must be improved in the next iterations.

No excuses.

As I said beforehand, CPU roster logic is impossible to perfect, or even get good. Thaat's not a critique of 2K; it's simply an acknowledgement a CPU is unable to replicate humans making decisions.

Allowing an association mode with 30 team control was a must. They bet on the wrong horse.

I think the idea of someone (don't know if it was in this thread) that mentioned they should base the CPU trade of logic of actual trades being made by users is a great idea.

Of course you need to implement some kind of credibility user-factor so people can't troll with stupid trades but I think it could work.

So people make trades, 2K has a system that registers it, the most probable/logic trades made are the ones the CPU tends to follow. Eg. 10000 users traded Asik for Anderson. CPU copies this.

Trade Asik for Dirk, 10 users, doesn't follow it.

Sega can handle this issue quite well in the FM series, with multiple leagues working out just fine over the course of several decades playing time. There are only 30 teams in the NBA....

So based on the informations i'm reading around:
- NO possible to select season lenght: you MUST play 82 games
- NO possible to avoid CPU trading
