Can you enjoy ALL 2k14 Modes without spending real money for VC?

For me the game looks to be taking some good steps forward. I kind of like the RPG elements and such, but maybe just for a mode like My Career.

Take a look at some text based sims like OOTP or Football Manager. They are what I think 2K is striving for, but without the depth of those games currently, the VC element might be how they deemed to add longevity to the mode.

I might have a different opinion once I play the game though (still not out in Australia). If I can get VC in the course of my normal play style then fine, but I only grind my wife, not my video games.

Out of curiosity, what can be turned off in MyGM? I remember there was a big push pre-release where posters were saying things along the lines of, "You don't have to do all that MyGM stuff if you don't want to and it'll be just like the old Association instead." Can you turn off ticket prices or things like that?

No, you can make it automated, you can't turn it off.

I guess he means that you can have the CPU doing them for you. As when you sim games in MyPlayer, the outcomes will be based on your MyGM skills and attributes

Ah, so it would not be possible to turn off the modern equivalent to team chemistry and whatnot, only automate it to your GM's ranking?
