you have to score 50 a game just to make up for your teams bad defense

This...I completely agree.

I tried HOF and I could still put up my numbers, but the CPU would shoot 60+ pct against us and swish every somewhat open shot. It was super annoying and it wasn't worth the little extra VC that I'd get from SS. I'd recommend everyone play on AS Sim or SS Sim.

Hall of fame 6 min quarters, if not my guys stats look like wilt chamberlain. The computer is amazing but it makes it a lot more fun.

I've been playing on All-Star Sim. I think I'm going to move into Superstar because right now I'm dropping like 65+ points every single game. I want that VC boost also.

I played on HOF/SIM on 360 but I can't on xbox one. HOF makes the AI make every shot, you can't drive past them to save your life. I'm on SUPERSTAR/SIM and it's perfect for me.

I feel like the deviation is too much in this game. Maybe just my personal skill level, but I find my team blowing out teams on Pro. However, when I switch to All-Star my team can't throw a rock in the ocean. I will get my numbers in both modes, but Pro we win by 20 and All-Star we lose by 20? I don't understand.

I play on HOF and it's not hard to put up nice numbers. Assists can sometimes be difficult, because your teammates hate making shots when you pass it to them. I agree, defense is hard as opponents nail open shots, but that is somewhat in line with how the NBA actually is, so I'm fine with it.

All Star Sim for me. Id try SS sim but im a 6'8" Slashing SF and the game only gave me a 75 Speed Rating. Not too big of a deal but on SS the D always seems to cut me off and throw me into that stupid dribbling animation because im so freaking slow.
