Freezing Issues on Xbox One

I'm having very frustrating issues

I am on Xbox One, and own a digital copy of NBA 2k14.

When trying to start up a My GM, after finishing the opening conversation with the owner, if I try and bring up the 2k nav, or play a game it just freezes up on me.

I've quit the game and restarted it repeatedly to no avail. I also tried deleting the My GM save and starting over. Still freezing.

Any suggestions/solutions are highly appreciated!

Note: I am playing on default settings with a Serpentine Fantasy Draft as the Brooklyn Nets, and my attribute was the coaching one. I don't know if any of that relates to my issues, but thought it would be worth noting.
