I feel like the blocking is way more realistic. I still had to tone down the sliders but I haven't seen any cheap blocks like I do in CG

Re: when compared to CG, blocking feels off.

Yeah, CG i was getting too many blocks and seeing too many because of the terrible "live ball" physics. So my arm, or head, or chest would barely graze the ball and knock it out of someone's hands, counting as a block. I haven't had the problem nearly as much in next gen(it's happened here and there but luckily not all the time). The problem with blocking on next gen is sometimes it feels extremely delayed though. And there are times where i block a shot, then my guy jumps for a block again for no reason like a second or 2 later.

It was TOO EASY on 360. On the 1 it feels much improved. You don't goaltend every damn time.

I actually agree with the OP somewhat....the shot blockers tend to jump another direction at times compared to CG where they track the ball accordingly. I mostly play as a defensive center for myplayer for both CG and NG and there is a slight difference between the two versions.

By not much though...

I play as an athletic center and I'll get like 5 blocks a game tops but there's shots that my guy reacts way late compared to when I press the button but maybe that's related to other stats

Hey instead of tapping the button try holding it. I find I get more blocks that way and it eliminates the "late" attempts

I would use Blacktop and start with Nate Robinson vs A tall guy and then practice shot blocking just in 1 v 1. I did MJ vs AI on CG and now I can get 17 blocks with MJ in that (that's kinda weird IMO.)

Eventually, you should nail it down. Blacktop is always a good way to learn the basics and players.
