I Need Some Help With Some Defensive Issues (Not Sure If It Is Me Or The Game)

Let me first state that I am playing on All-Star with default rosters and the 2K "simulation" slider set.

I am having a few defensive-based issues that I am hoping to get some assistance with. As the title stated, I am not sure if these are bugs/issues with the game or something that I am doing wrong. Any assistance given is very much appreciated.

1.) The first issue that I am having is defending the pick & roll against the AI. I have been playing Quick Games as the Pistons against the Celtics, and every time the Celtics run a pick & roll with Rondo and Olynyk my SHOOTING GUARD Kentavious Caldwell-Pope runs under the basket for some inexplicable reason, leaving Avery Bradley wide open for 3-point shot after 3-point shot (usually in the corners). I have tried adjusting my defensive settings to "limit outside shots", but it seems like this is some kind of bug that is causing my SG to do this no matter what defensive setting I choose. Avery Bradley isn't even involved in the pick & roll (he's just spotting up), so there is no reason why Caldwell-Pope should be moving at all. It just makes no sense to me.

Is anyone else seeing this? Is there anything that I am doing wrong or a setting that I am missing that I should have changed to prevent this? This issue is causing guys like Avery Bradley to take entirely too many shots per game because they are being left wide open all of the time for no reason at all.

2.) My second issue is the computer constantly leaving all of my perimeter players wide open in an effort to clog the paint. As with my issue above, I have changed every team's defensive settings to "limit outside shots", but that doesn't seem to make a difference. I am averaging a ridiculous amount of 3-point shots a game because the CPU players are constantly ignoring/sagging off my shooters to defend and clog the paint.

Right now, these issues are really hampering my enjoyment with NBA 2K14, because every game (in my games against the Celtics for example) is starting to unfold and play the exact same way.

Again, thanks in advance for any help given.

Hey, thanks man. Glad to know it wasn't just me. I will migrate to that thread to see what others are doing to combat these issues.
