Here are some tips I can offer for any of you struggling.

Set up your team's points of emphasis and defensive match ups manually. I play with everything manual for my Coach Settings: Play Calling, Substitutions, Play Art (display diagrams). During the game, adjust accordingly. A lot of players that I have met in Quick Match have been the prototypical cheese. Constant turbo in the paint, zone defense, three point. They are very one dimensional. The zone is weak on Next Gen, as it should be in real life and not as dominant as current gen. Set up screens, use your post players and you will see the teams crumble. I have manhandled and destroyed a lot of people and very rarely do I even finish a game (because they end up quitting). I play straight up basketball online. I have photos to prove that I won by scores 41-13, 72-33. If you do not know any type of basketball strategy, you have no chance because this game forces you to play simulation basketball.

I'm just trying to figure out why the lag is at least 5x worse than current gen. Playing this game online reminds me of NBA 2k8 online where you pretty much had to time the lag the whole game.

The input lag when playing online is unacceptable. Every single game there is input lag and its unacceptable for this generation. The issue with online is not even cheese or anything like that, the problem is the connectivity, stability and framework of online.

I play Madden on my PS4 every single day with no lag whatsoever. I'm tired of this nonsense from 2K.

I am not getting any kind of lag online. My games have been great. It has to be your connection. Have you checked the signal strength?
