We were able to play again afterwards, and it was the only time I've run into it. It could still mainly be a PS problem, but it does certainly affect the Xbox too.

It has nothing to do with Sony/Microsoft servers. This issue has been in the game for years, I've experienced it both on Xbox and Playstation. There are several causes that have nothing to do with the network. It can happen when either player or 2K servers lag for a bit, continuously or just at a key point. The game often arbitrarily decides when to cut the game even if the connection is 99% working. It's probably a desyncing issue.

Your anecdotal evidence of a couple of people doesn't say anything about how often it's happening on either console. But do fanboi it on PS network which you haven't even been on.

It was at its worst at the end of last year for 2k13. I've run a lot of 2k14 current gen teamup though on PS3 and I've had less issues. Haven't got to run much on next gen yet to be able to tell

Just when I thought it was fixed....

Got through 2 public team up games last night. Then 2nd quarter of game #3, booted!

Try again, 1st quarter 3 min left. booted

Then a private 3v3 team up, booted at player select

Finally, an online ranked match, booted in the 2nd quarter!


Before the patch it WAS NEVER this bad. The patch made this desync problem even worse!!

It's so sad for me as an online only player that I can't even play the only REAL NBA game on the market. It's killing me!!

Didn't they give us some spiel during 2k12 (13?) about how they were running some online code from the dreamcast days and that they'd changed it so we could get a legit online experience and yet it's still garbage.
