How do you play with custom rosters?

I'm a kings fan and I want to try the new lineup with Gay. I had to wait a week to try Derrick Williams out because i don't know how to play with a custom roster. I am able to "create a roster" and upload it, but i don't see any option to download rosters or us custom rosters, this is just for quick games. I'm feeling like a moron right now, but this game has some weird menu and design choices compared to how straightforward it is on PS3/360

Press triangle on the quick game screen, will take you to a screen where you can download custom rosters
