NBA 2K14 Start up Problems?[After patch]

Ever since the new patch, NBA 2k14 has a problem starting up. My disk is not scratched nor does it have fingerprints. I have two other games, KZ and bf4 start flawlessly. My guess, its trying to connect with the server. It takes a long time to synchronize with the server. I turned off the internet connection and the start up is much quicker, but it still takes a long long time.

is anyone experiencing this?

Have you experienced the Drake bug?

The game connects to the server but after that nothing shows on the main menu. The only thing you hear is "Started From The Bottom"

Game was running smooth until the patch. Now it just loads like crazy. So annoying.

Have you experienced the Drake bug?

The game connects to the server but after that nothing shows on the main menu. The only thing you hear is "Started From The Bottom"

No drake. you just don't see or hear anything. Then you see the 17 years in the making. like what feels an eternity after waiting. it's crazy. I test every other game. I thought maybe cause I had captures, deleted all the captures I can, and its still not booting fast. Its just again, after you press x to boot the game, black screen....then the teams appear, then another black screen....then eternity.

its getting crazy. how widespread is this crap? they need to fix that crap asap. I almost got mad and thought my ps4 was defective. If I had no other games, I'd be freaking out and thought my reader broke.

I wanted to chime in to say this is happening for me also. I've now been staring at a black screen for 15 minutes, still hasn't loaded 😢

I know it shouldn't frustrate me because it's just a game, but I want to play my game 😢

2K14 is probably the most broken game on PS4 right now and it's incredibly frustrating. If I want to play it's honestly a 50/50 chance of if the game is even going to work or not, so stupid.

nah, thats battlefield 4. this game was completly fine with the exceptions to the park. this patch messed everything up. I never had a game bug until this update.

its ludicrous. Apparently the only quick way is disable the internet first, then login to the game then connect back to the internet. It'll take awhile, but much more faster than waiting with an internet connection. Thankfully, you don't have to exit the game to mess with internet settings like the ps3 made you did.

So I tried to play again last night and the loading wasn't to bad but I got no VC at all. Also I noticed when playing MyGM that when controlling a player it wouldn't show their name on top of the screen like it normally would. Don't want to have to delete stuff again and start over.

That's why the loading wasn't so bad. Lol it wasn't communicating with the server to save your vc or to or communicating with the servers I'm guessing. It has its time where you think nothing is wrong with the game and times where think wtf is going on

Ya same as me, downloaded version and the screen just stays black.

Tried deleting and reinstalling. Did nothing.
