Servers Went Down WHILE Saving

I put VC into an ability and it took my VC then said it was saving the game. Suddenly, it said error cannot connect to 2k. When I tried to restart the game it acted as if I never played before. I hit continue when it asked me to make my play, you know the dummy one you make when you first load up, and after I hit continue it said 2k servers are down.

I didn't lose my character right? It isn't going to be corrupted that the servers went down while saving will it?

Hopefully your file isn't booted to offline but it shouldn't be corrupt

When the servers are fixed, your MyPlayer should be fine. There's never really any telling whether what you purchased will have saved, though, or if you lost the VC.

Got the same issue. The game actually itself took me to create a new MyPlayer when I was trying to buy attributes with VC. Said servers were unavailable and took me to create a new MyPlayer. Now every time I boot up the game it asks to create a MyPlayer. Didn't do so yet because I'm afraid my saves will be deleted. Tried to download cloud saved data to the system (UserData from a few hours ago) but the problem still persists.

Whoever decided it was a great idea to make the game always online should be fired.

Did you create a new MyPlayer and get to continue old saves with it?

Same thing happened to me. It corrupted my save file. I am hoping that when the servers come back up it will be back going again.

Connected to the server and the game works again. Didn't create a new MyPlayer.
