Anyone doing an offline MyCareer?

If so, what are the disadvantages?

Also, if anyone has gotten the shoe deal yet, can you equip them?

From my experience no you cannot equip shoes with an offline save. It works with the clothes outside of game day but other than that I have not been able to.

No you can play it offline, everything works fine, but you can only use the VC you earn in that save mode, and you have to update equipment outside of the mode in the features part.

But i'm not going to play it offline because you can't change shoes, or else i definitely would to avoid these pathetic server issues.

pretty much. The VC in offline mode are a silver colour looking coin, while the VC for online mycareer mode are a gold coin.

To the OP: i only got the game at Xmas, and played for 3 days in offline mode and got my player up from a rating of 62 to 70. Finally realised that the VC giveaways and bonuses you get from locker codes arent compatible with the Skill points you get with the offline mycareer mode, so i switched over.

Long story short - its a lot quicker and easier to level up a mycareer player in online mode than it is for an offline mycareer player. The 1 big shining light and positive for offline mycareer mode, is youre not reliant on unreliable 2K servers... and thats a big plus

Last time I did my offline career disappeared as soon as I got back online. That was pre patch 3, dont know if its been addressed.

I just started a new Career... And they should name this mode MyPointGuard.. It's an absolute tragedy to play as a back to the basket center as they won't pass me the ball when I have a position down low, at least without that Sig skill, which I can't buy because I need the offline VC. Have about 20-30k "online VC" which would be needed to spend on that sig skill.
