Really long installation..

Just got my PS4, first game I got was the digital download of 2k14. After downloading and the initial installation, I turned on the game and it goes the screen with just the quick game available, which I've read means it's doing the updates. Well the update has been installing for 7 hours and is only at 29%... is this normal?

Nope that's not normal. Installation should take about 15 minutes.

Try to cancel the installation and delete all files and reinstall the game.

Its not normal but possible considering all the problems with 2ks servers. Just delete and try again but more than likely u gonna have to wait awhile

I'll look into it when I get up if it's not finished. Is there a specific way I should uninstall it since it's a downloaded version?

Installation has nothing to do with 2K's servers.

Check around in the settings for you console. You can access the storage and file systems there. Just make sure to delete everything that's associated with NBA 2K14. Then redownload and reinstall the game.

I also got the digital download. My first installation took close to 6 hours. The second took just over 9.

it took me 2 days to install... this is wut i did i called sony in told them game did not install in they gave me my money back but game was still on my HD still trying to install ... guess wut it finish installing in i got the game for free... then i did something stupid and deleted game by misstake i was tick off and had to buy game
