MyTeam vs. Ultimate Team

Concept-wise, which idea would work better for basketball.

2K's MyTeam

• Purchaseable Packs with 1 player each
• Reward Packs

Pros for MyTeam

• More balance online
• Can't really buy a super team

Cons for MyTeam

• Tough to get who you want
• Can't mold a team, its all chance

EA's Ultimate Team

• eBay Auction for auctioning players
• Purchasable Packs

Pros for Ultimate Team

• Buy who you want
• Auction makes bidding exciting
• Can successfully mold a team

Cons for Ultimate Team

• Superteams Galore!
• Impossible auction prices (See Madden)

I personally love both, and it has nothing to do with me opening MJ last night but if I had to prefer one, I wish 2K had a marketplace for auctioning duplicate cards. Even though this would surely lead to more loaded teams online.

Definitely the Ultimate Team idea. Considering I got 4 GP dupes last night... imagine how much VC that woulda gotten.... lol.

As much as I don't like Ultimate Team, it's still a lot better than MyTeam. This BS of only getting 1 player plus a bunch of crap non-player cards in every pack, plus not being able to trade so you're stuck at the mercy of the 1-in-50 or whatever odds that you'll pull the player you need really ruin the game mode for me.

You would get a lot of dupes on the market and the cards on auction wouldn't cost anything.

I feel like with the NBA this is especially true. There are so many more NFL players than NBA, so dupes would be insane.

but its simple for the market....make minimum pricing....dont allow someone to auction something for less than 2x what the market would buy it for

so say... lebron sells to player market for 15k MTC, make minimum auction pricing 30k MTC
