Will this game still work once the servers are shutdown for future versions?

Great question. I would say no. This, along with removal of CAPs to create incoming rookies, give this game a one year shelf life that will force you to purchase 2k15 to get players such as Wiggins, Parker, Randle etc.

It's a shame- I always enjoy creating rookies and using those rosters in the time between the draft and the new game. I was hoping next gen would show off an amazing CAP. I was shocked they removed it altogether.

Great question. The answer is probably not as 2K will decide to shut down the servers so people will be compelled to buy the newest version.

You can play offline season mode, if you start the mode not online connected.

You can trade players between non-user teams in season mode. So if you control the Heat, you can trade Raptors Gay to the Kings.

But you cant change CPU rotations, and they will sign their own FAs.
