Like this because of Myplayer.... if people didn't Mod none of this would have ever happened lol but this is the only way to stop it. they dont have a DRM, wanta know whats gonna happen? 2k11 all over again with myplayers modded out the *** and prolly even worse now lol they took a lot of heat for that.

Personally I don't think this has anything to do with modders. It's all tied to the all mighty vc. It's greed pure and simple greed. The old bait and switch. People, we have been played and we are the fools in this story. Not this year though. Not buying again nope.

The way I see it, it really is all about VC...and VC is because of the modders.

2K was probably like "well if people go out of their way to buy modded xbox's or pay random people online to make their My Player better than they'll definitely pay for extra skill points."

Making the game always online just ensures no one hacks the system for free VC.

What they don't realize is they're just whoring themselves. I mean, obviously they have to have some respect for their own product right? So if people are hacking the game to have 8 foot tall players and 99 everything stats then they must a been a little upset over that...
Yet they let people pay to do basically the same thing, just not height. But really, when you're a 7 ft small forward with maxed everything it's just as cheesy.

there are other ways to stop it from happening. the current implementation is just taking the easy way out. they could institute a detailed check system that checks the files for mods when trying to connect. they could encrypt the save files in a way that would be difficult to hack. there are plenty of options available outside of the one they chose. this was just the easy way out.
