Quick Tip on Jersey #'s & My Career

I just wanted to share my tip. If ya heard it before then sorry. I've been using this since my player has been out and I thought it was basic so I never thought to share it.

If you don't want to mess up anybody else's numbers when joining a team in My Career then select a number or high number when creating your guy then switch it back when you get drafted.

I used to do this in older games but like duke said, you can't switch your number after the start.

Easiest way is to just Google "retired NBA numbers" & "NBA rosters". That way you can pick a number that you like & everyone has their correct numbers too.

But you don't know which team you will end up on.

My suggestion to 2K was that when you get drafted the CPU will ask you "Your chosen number is already taken by Player and he's not willing to give it up. Please choose a new jersey number". That way you get a list of the numbers already taken on the roster and you select a new one.
This would also happen if you got traded and your number was taken.

A few years back there was a player who joined the Bulls and the number was already taken and the two players played one on one in practice to decide who would get it

They should just allow us to change the numbers of our MyPlayers, as well as any other player in the league, at any time during our careers.
