Buy or Wait?
I'm probably going to be buying a PS4 soon, but I don't know if I should go ahead and get 2K14 for it or just wait for 2K15. What do you guys think?Tags: None -

Re: Buy or Wait?
His sentiments are pretty true despite the raw emotion. The game for me is just a quick play, I don't like how restrictive mygm is so I won't partake in it but custom rosters and quick play is what I do with the game. $60 is to much for a quick play game so I would say wait unless your going to play all the modes.Comment

Re: Buy or Wait?
I guess it kind of depends on what kind of player you are. The only reason I bought my ps4 so early was to play this game and I can't say I regret it. However, I don't think I can recommend buying it. I wouldn't recommend it to a friend so I won't recommend to you.

Re: Buy or Wait?
You can only use the game for quick play...
Everything else is garbage
I'm still playing nba2k14 on PS3Comment

Re: Buy or Wait?
Depends on u. If u can live without enjoying online and park mode i say get it. 2k has updated the courts and all the jerseys so i started a season and im enjoying that. If u have friends to play against locally..keyword LOCALLY....ull enjoy it. But i agree with everybody else in the fact that its nowhere near as good as it is on last gen.Comment

Re: Buy or Wait?
It's a really good game and fun, don't listen to all the crying haters who complain about every little thing. Are there a few minor bugs and issues? Sure, but what game doesn't have some. If you need a sports game to hold you over until October or whenever 15 comes out, get it

Re: Buy or Wait?
If you're a basketball fan then yes I say buy it. Online does have it's downfalls (bad servers mostly) and a lot of the modes are watered down but I must say I enjoy the game. The on court aspect has a hidden beauty about it. Getting a feel for the EcoMotion engine and playbooks (even tho you can't practice them smh) will reveal how much detail went into replicating real NBA ball. Now I'm not saying that every tool that you would use to strategize in an real game is present, but 2k did a really good job on the 1st iteration for next gen. The real key will be to find some like-minded "sim" players from the online forum. QMs will leave you with a bad taste in your mouth, but watch some tutorials and put a little time in learning to run an effective offense and you'll have a blast.Comment

Offline only, no patches, MyGM: This may just be the greatest game I have ever played in my life.
I don't regret it for a second and would buy it all over again if I had to.Comment

Re: Buy or Wait?
If possible, rent it and see how much you enjoy it. I traded mine in weeks ago. I enjoyed it in small bursts, but really couldn't get into MyPlayer/MyGM. The graphics are amazing no doubt, but I don't feel like it does anything that much better than current gen from a gameplay perspective.
Then again, I think I have come to the realization that the current bball sims out there arent for me at this point. Because I have played both 2k14 (XBOne) and 2k13 (PS3) this year and neither hold my interest for very long. Which is a shame because I love the sport.Comment

Re: Buy or Wait?
I only play Association Mode (MyGM in next gen): you must unlock everything (including the possibility to change rotation), you can ONLY have an 82 games season (I need 2/3 years to play 82 games)... this is garbage in my opinion.
I only have Playstation (3 and 4) only to play nba2k, so you can understand how much I love nba2k series and the basket but I'm really disappointed with next gen !

I happen to have about 2 games worth of time nightly so I've been able to definitely enjoy this mode (offline) to it's fullest.
But I can see not loving it if you don't, especially since simming doesn't award VC.
Though for me, until something changes in my life, this game is nearly perfect.Comment

Re: Buy or Wait?
Don't buy it. I wouldn't buy this until it hits at least $25. Way too many modes and features removed.Comment
