Audio Dropping on NBA 2K14 on PS4 (HDMI)

I just got a new PS4 Monday and a new copy of NBA 2K14 and the sound drops about one or two seconds. It happens a handful of times per game. Is my new PS4 messed up? Maybe I have a bad game disk?

I have tried deleting and reinstalling NBA with no luck. My brother in law got a PS4 about two weeks and a copy of NBA and he has NEVER had this issue. I have searched the web and it seems to be a known issue.

Do the people having this issue have a bad copy of the game, or does everyone with this problem have a faulty PS4?

I only have until Sunday to exchange systems, I would just do it but everyone is sold out. I would have to wait for gamestop to get a replacement in which could take anywhere from one to two weeks.

I'm looking for feedback, is this a game issue or a system issue? Thanks guys.

I have the same issue. Has been there since I got the game. Happens with tv speakers and surround sound both. Also happens regardless of using hdmi or optical.

I found a gamestop 20 miles away that had a replacement system. I just got back, I'll update the thread later tonight, or tomorrow. If I no longer have the issue then you have to assume people having this issue have a buggy PS4.

def post up results. I doubt its a system issue though as I have ghosts, thief, and kz and none of those have any audio issues

My brother in law and a Co-Worker both have NBA 2K14 with no issues. Why do some users have audio issues with 2k and some don't?

It happens to me constantly after patch 4. I maybe got it once every now and then during a game before. It's really annoying.

happens to me. Only with 2k. other games audio etc are fine. Game is just bugged

Add me to the list... I got my PS4/NBA2k combo about 2 weeks back (I bought them together) and had the audio dropping problem from the get-go (although I did immediately update NBA 2k14 after setting up the PS4).

It does it on the replacement PS4 as well. I even used my brother in laws disk to install. I'm going to take my PS4 to his house this weekend and see if the brand of TV matters.

I can not understand this, he does not have sound issues but I do even with a new console and using his disk. I'm truly lost.

It does happen on my Panasonic VT30 plasma and I don't think it has anything to do with your PS4 or your TV. It's just the game that is bugged. I wonder if it's only when passing the audio through HDMI.

I've tried both and have no issues with that occurring. Did occur before the most recent patch though over Optical.

Ps should've upgraded from that VT30 to one of the 2013 line up 60's. Big upgrade.

That is very strange indeed. Let's see what 2K has to say about that, but from my experience it only started to happen after the latest patch.

Ps A: Still going strong with mine, and now that she's had some good mileage on her clock she's looking better than ever, no regrets nor desires to upgrade. Good luck on your ST60 by the way

We need to all sumit tickets to 2sports. I did a ticket and linked this thread in it. I even tweeted nba 2K14 and 2k support along with Ronnie but haven't gotten a response. The more people that complain about this issue the fast it will get patched.
