Here's proof that 2k14 promotes cheese

I still think team ball is the way to go. For one you are relying on one player to go on a hot streak. If he gets cold or tired then he will not perform as well. If you had a 10 man rotation you could constantly sub out the cold/tired players and use the ones that are hot. Doing this method insures that you will never be cold and that the scoring will go around. Secondly, if someone did that vs me I'd run my own little box and 1 on them along with a POE to focus on them, plus bring in Tom Sanders to guard that player (99 on ball 97 low post def, 95 steal, 80 rebounding).

But then again, I am assuming someone is competent enough to make an adjustment. Most players are not.

He has a point. This person I played last night in a quick match was able to do the same thing with KD. Most of this **** ties into the dumb sig skills and ratings. No marter what you do certain players just cant be stopped because 2K allows it to be this way.

Offline = Playing NBA teams vs NBA teams

Online = You vs Dude



Playing online takes away most of the realism of the actual sport. It's like you aren't playing a representation of NBA basketball, you are playing the SPORT of 2k14.

When I play online I never expect a realistic experience. I just try to play the game and win. Offline, I play team basketball and can be successful. Both have value and fun to them, just have to accept the differences for what they are.

You can't be pissed and an orange for not being an apple.

great summary Duke. random online is about whos better at the 2k14 game, not whos better at basketball.

although finding some like minded sim guys can have good results.

I like idea behind NBA 2K14's hot/cold streak feature, but it's a little ridiculous when D-League players like Glen Rice Jr. and Allen Crabbe can drop 30 points shooting 90% or better from three-point range, just because they made their first few shots.

you can win online running plays, you can use it as a formation, noone practices plays to win anymore, but its very effective, I run plays around 90% of the time, it may be 3-5 plays but Im going to keep running them untill someone stops it.
